Industry Article of the Month

Cover of the ASTM Journal of Testing and Evaluation

Designing asphalt mixes has traditionally been a slow and demanding process, often requiring numerous trials to achieve the desired mix properties. But what if there was a more efficient way to get reliable results with far less effort? The paper Simple Analytical Procedure to Estimate Optimum Asphalt Content, originally published in the ASTM Journal of Testing and Evaluation and later featured with ASTM’s permission in Asphalt Pro magazine under the title Simplify the Search for Optimum Asphalt Content, presents an analytical method that makes determining the optimum asphalt content simpler, faster, and more efficient.
